Question Amp linking

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi
Can anybody advise me on how to link an Ashdown ABM 300 to a Trace Elliot GP12 using the pre-amp from the Ashdown and both power amps. I will be grateful for any assistance with this

Thanks
Malc

OK, I'm not familiar with those two heads, but there are some common features that might make this work for you.

IF the Ashdown has an effects loop or a pre-amp output, and the TE has a power amp input, you're good to go. Connect a shielded guitar cord from the FX send of the Ashdown to the power amp input (or the FX return) of the TE. That is most commonly the post-EQ signal being fed to the FX loop so it would be everything (except possibly the graphic EQ if the amp has one) feeding the other amp's power amp.
