Dude, seriously. Your description is "the amp goes boom" and you expect someone here to be able to tell you how much it'll cost to repair?

At Earl Scheib, $99.95 - no diagnosis needed, credit not a problem, offer may not include extras, void where prohibited by law

OP, can you give us a little more info? Maybe like: when does the boom occur? what are you doing when the boom occurs?

The booming only happens when I turn it on. Sometimes it doesn't, but two thirds of the time it does.

Everything stays on, and all of the controls work.

Just turn the volume all the way down when you turn it on.

I have turned the volume all the way down when I turn it on, and there is still a Boom sound.

When I turn the volume up, there is a very noticeable buzzing. The buzzing did not occure this morning, or any time before that.

So it's not just a "power on boom"? Is the boom coming through the speakers or is it the actual amp itself? If it's the latter, there's something seriously wrong. I don't really know anything about amps, but Try to describe this boom. Boom is a very general word, from the sound of a lot of low end in a sound (Generally not a "problem'), to the sound of an atomic bomb detonating. Can we narrow it down a little?
