Amp for a Newb :)

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey guys been playing bass for a few months now and had a few gigs playing the usual pub stuff been looking for an amp to put my squire vintage reissue p bass through. I might be in line for a cheap fender rumble 410 so will be looking for a head. I have looked at the reviews of the rumble 350, which seemed to be a bit meh, however the ampeg portaflex 350 seemed to get a much better review. What do you guys think of these options?

I buy used gear, check craigslist and maybe online deals. I can usually make my money back later if its not what I want.

Ampeg's PF series is definitely getting good reviews and are quite portable.

If you have a nice guitar head, you can use it for bass, just find a good cab.

Keep an eye out theres some great combos out there. The portaflex are top notch. Some of the Ashdown combos are damn good aswel. Depends how much your willing to spend? and how much space youve got to put it in really.
