Amp recommendations for Brice bass? Hello, I'm looking for possible amps to upgrade to for my basses. i currently have a Peavey Micro Bass 15 Watt, and I definitely need better. I own a Brice HXB-406 (35") (Lefty), and an Epiphone EB-0 (30.5") (Restrung Lefty), but I typically use my Brice. I'm currently testing running D'Addario Half wound Bass Strings, and so far are pleased with them (once I got used to the difference). Now that the gear part is over, we get to the real question. What is a good bass amp to accommodate my gear? I favor a Geezer Butler sound, or Steve Harris, so something to get within reach of that would be nice. I like to get a familiar tone I Like, then I tweak it over time to my tastes. I typically put my mids up all the way, and bass usually 80% and treble about 65%. my price range can't exceed $500 at the moment, but I am most comfortable in the $200-300 range. Before, I was looking at the Behringer Ultrabass series, and liked what I saw, but I hadn't gotten to test any out, and their rep makes me a little uneasy. I like having a wide range of EQ options. I'd like more than just a bass, mid, treble knob, possibly 5-7 band EQ, and what about graphic EQ? I play classic rock, hard rock, and metal, with some blues and funk thrown in. What do you all suggest? I'm eager to hear opinions.
