Amp repair

Sign in to disble this ad
Greetings all:

I have an SWR 750 pre-Fender that needs a repair. The problem is when turned on, it will make a pop sound, then I see a small amount of smoke coming from behind the power switch.

Any ideas what causes this?

Thanks.

Hi.

#1. The second sticky .

#2. The power switch is fried. RS should carry a replacement. Best course of action would be to take the head to a tech for repair though.

Regards
Sam

Yes, the magic tone smoke has escaped rendering your amp lifeless. Time for a reputable tech.
