Amp Slave Configuration Question

I've got a Hartke ha2500 and a GK BL600. I want to combine them to get the maximum wattage. If I understand this correctly I need to run Effects Send of the GK to the Effects Return of the Hartke and then run the speaker outputs of the hartke to my cabs which are a 200watt 8ohm Hartke 115XL and a 300 watt 8ohm Warwick WCA 115 Pro.

Is this correct? if so approximately how much wattage will I get?

Also, if there is a better configuration using these pieces or I am way off here I would certainly like to hear from you as well.

Do it this way.

Bass - Amp of your choice. That amp then drives one of the speaker cabinets. Use that amps "effects send" into the "effects return" of your other amp, and have that amp drive a speaker.

That said, there is no real point to this really. You might as well just use your GK into both cabinets, providing it can handle a 4 ohm load.

So you are saying it is not really possible to get a combined wattage? 250 from the hartke and 300 from the GK to get 550?

No, it's not, unless you run BOTH amps, each with their own speaker cab. Otherwise, you're using the pre on one into the poweramp of the other. But volume is more about speakers than wattage, so the best scenario is using the more powerful amp with both cabs.

Cool. Thanks for the clarification. So I guess the only way to run them both is the "earth loop"?
