Amp and speaker question (wicked distorsion)

Hi folks I just purchased a Hartke 4x10 XL cab 8 ohms. I pluged in my Hartke Hydrive 115 (unpluged speaker and plucked the cab in)And I get a wicked distorsion or buzz from my E and A stings not so much with D,G strings.Do you think I got sold a cab with blown speakers?How do I check. This was a infamaous EBay buy.Used cab. The seller has 200 or so good response's from buyers so I am giving him the benifit of the doubt at this time.If the Hydrive pushes a 4 ohm speaker is the amp a missmatch?I don't know these things it is my first cab.

I would bypass ea. 10 one at a time. Or just test one 10" speaker at a time to find the bad one/ones.

Sounds like one or more bad speakers.

I the guess that sounds good testing one at a time.The seller is sending me two replacement speakers Monday.Lucky me this time.
