I would like to make a powered bass cab.

Is there anyone building plate amps to install in full range bass cabs?

Any info would be appreciated.

MCM Electronics in Ohio and as well as several other companies offer Class-D amps. You'll have to find one with the power you want and may have to do some tweaking to the filtering. Since these type of amps require a line-level signal, you may need to use a preamp or a pedal to match the levels. There are a number of pedals that will give you EQ, level and other things like the Radial Bassbone that would work fine.

None that are reasonably priced. Digimoda is currently the only source that's available at retail, and they're very expensive.
The main sources for commercial gear sell OEM only. Sooner or later the likes of QSC and Crown will enter the market, but they aren't there yet.

I'd like to even find a plate amplifier for a PA speaker or a used one from a Mackie, EV or other maker. Perhaps used from a broken speaker.
