Amp suggestions with 2 Avatar 112 neo's?

I just picked these up to see how I'd like 1x12's. Any suggestions on a good head pairing for these cabs. Rock/Alt country.

Also GK sounds good with the avatar 12's, I used to play that combo. Sounds great.

A GK MB2-500 and that cab sounds great. The quick low end of the GK really works with the slightly loose low end of the SB-112.

If you don't mind the weight a used 700/1001 RB II would work fine as well. I will stick with the MB2-500 though. Mine is the A07 version.

IMO GK and Avatar is a classic pairing for a working stiff's rig. At this point I've doine it with every bass cab that Avatar has made except the 4x10 and the old compact 1x15 ... they all sounded good, some of those pairings sounded great.
A 1001 RB II on top of a neo SB112 and neo B210 stack was the best for a punchy mid volume rock'n roll rig.

Mid volume to me is a lot higher than it might be to someone else ...

I use 2 cabs (Avatar B 410 Neos) and the Markbass 800 (an 800w version of
the LittleMark) <http://www.markbass.it/products.php?lingua=en&cat=1&vedi=98> and this setup KILLS! Best setup I've ever used. It's LOUD and CLEAR and PUNCHY. It's like standing in front of a cannon. Used it on an outdoor gig last weekend and it filled the air with huge FAT bass and zero distortion for 4 solid hours at high volume. The Markbass head was only 1/3 volume and less that 1/4 gain using my Fender Jazz. I highly recommend these lightweight (65lbs) cabs and the owner, Dave, is a great guy to do business with. He answers the phone & will walk with you to satisfy your speaker requirements. Quality of the cabs is top notch. I sold my GKs and never looked back. Go Avatar + Markbass and you can't go wrong. I know I sound like a commercial, but I haven't been this enthusiastic about a rig in years. This is the last rig I'll ever need.

I used a Yorkville XS800 with those. It was pretty good. The Ampeg B-2RE was also okay, not as good as the Yorkville. Mesa Walkabout is still my favorite bass amp, and the people I worked with liked that best.

Markbass LMIII! I used to own a Yorkville XS800........yeah, pretty powerful amp there! I miss it but not the weight of it! Sold it to get the Markbass. Just as loud if not louder!

I was gonna suggest getting the LMIII before the page even finished loading... and I'm not the only one saying that!

I'm running a LMIII into a Avatar B212 and it kills.

The reason I posted this thread...
I am currently running a Genz Benz GBE600 through two new Avatar 1x12's and I am not the biggest fan of this setup.

I like the GB through my Avatar Neo 4x10 just fine. But for some reason when it goes to the 1x12's something is missing. Its almost too in your face. I can deal with it picked, but hate it fingerstyle.

Its weird to me how much I love this rig with the 4x10 but not with the 2 1x12's

My LM II I had at one point sounded great with any cab I threw at it.

How about the GK MB500?

I seems to me that you like MarkBass amps, why look for more options when you already know what you like?

Funny you say that, I didn't like my GB shuttle much with my avatar 12's. But I like it in its combo.

I still havent made a change and while I am figuring things out a bit and its sounding better, I am still not satisfied.

Would a new cab be a good answer, or just switch out the head?

I tried an mb500 and really liked it. But I also still really like my gbe600
