GK RB700 II head. Input jack got badly smashed. Still works but this needs to get fixed. Any good/quick amp tech places north of NYC... Westchester/Putnam area? Thanks...

I sent a message to GK about a getting an updated list of certified service centers in Westchester, so once they reply I'll let you know.

Most of the places they currently have listed get awful customer ratings, so I'm weary about having them do any work. There are a few places listed that aren't even in business any more.

There seem to be a bunch in the city if you feel like heading there.

Yes... if you get a list from GK please pass it on to me. I know a few places in the city, and can certainly bring this there, but I'm trying to avoid the trip and stay local if that's possible. Keep me posted.....

I think Toy's In The Attic across the street from Sam Ash in White Plains does amp repairs. I am sure they are not GK authorized. They have a lot of old vintage audio gear that they must have to refurbish. Either they do the repairs or know someone who does.

iirc Toys doesn't do repairs anymore, and ossining music is defunct. that just about does it for central westchester.

i know there's a guy that does good work up in rhinebeck but that's kinda far.

you could also do it yourself. replacing an input jack is probably the most foolproof repair you can do.

You could check out TSI Repair. They have locations in Midland Park, NJ and Middletown, NY. And they are G-K factory authorized for repairs. I had them do an input jack repair on my Eden head and it's been good ever since.
