Which amp would be better for playing slap?

Trying to figure out which amp is better to slap/funk. The Gallien-Krueger MB115 (1x15) or MB212 (2x12)?
Is it true that slapping on a 15' speaker doesn't sound as good as slap on a 12' or 10' speaker? (or 2x12 in this case).

I'd go with the 2x12's.

I feel slap tones sound best through 10inch speakers - but honestly, try out every piece of gear you can and get what you think sounds good. The amount of opinions and suggestions you will receive here is going to make your head spin.

Good bass tone starts with your hands.

i slapped in a song or two on a 115 cab at my gig tonight and it ruled. i've slapped on cabs with 10"s, 12"s, 15"s...as long as the cab sounds good, it rules.

I'd go with the 212, but I've played through 10's for many years.

depends on the cab, not just the size of the speaker... If you can, try out the two cabs and see which you prefer. If I had to guess I'd say i'd probably prefer the 212 might be a bit more punchy

I've played on a (cheap) 15' on which the slap didn't sound quite as "low" as it doen on my 410. I've had 410's on which it sounded horrible and I've had 410's on which it sounded great.

Dit play a 212 a few times and sounded good also. Also got a decent sound out of one of my friends tube amp + 215 (only decided not to go with his ric ).

There is more than one good slap tone and I think cabwise you might want to do some experimenting before settling upon what would be your dreamsound. And if that would be an 18'... so be it :').
