Ampeg 2013

I saw Ampeg post on their FB page that they have some new stuff for 2013 that they're showing off now at NAMM. Anyone have any clues what's new?? I really dig the ampeg sound. And dog how light GK's MB series combos are. Wonder if Ampeg will be competing???

They already have the pf stuff, that is their micro amp. I suppose they coukd put it in some combos.

There is rumored a V4 100 watt tube amp. That would be cool, though I don't know if it's ready.

JimmyM also said something about an import B-15 reissue. If that's a real B15 that more people could afford over the very limited production, very expensive Heritage line, that would be cool.

I'd like to see a non-master volume SVT with blueline cosmetics, also aside from the Heritage line that was actually affordable. I'd also like to see a good re-issue of the Gemini II guitar amp. Always liked the sound of those and they are great bass amps when you disconnect the internal speaker and run it out to a bass cab. I'd like to find another old one and chop it into a headcase for an either/or bass/guitar amp.

Wishful thinking there with most of that stuff.

An affordable B-15 would be AMAZING! As for the PF series, that's what I'm eyeing, but the GK is still soooo much lighter.

I hope they put a proper (cushy) handle on it, and at the balance point, too.

Wouldn't mind seeing some fan cooling, either. Mine used to get hot as hell, even with the tube shield removed.

Or maybe they'll invert the chassis and run it the proper way.

I would assume "affordable" might mean $1500 instead of the Heritage $5000, but at least within the realm of possibility for some.

Fender is buying Ampeg and making them produce the new WorkingShuttle series of micros.

I know one thing they won't be announcing, and that's the new V4B. Judging from the pic they posted last week of a prototype all laid out on a table but with no cabinet for it, it'll probably be a good few more months at least.

Anyway, remember last year how they brought out the Micro CL at NAMM? This year's releases will be a degree or two higher in intensity than that

I would like Ampeg to put out a reissue of the B-100 R 100watt combo. I think those amps look and sound amazing, just make the new one be able to add an extra speaker cab for a little more oomph.

Unfortunately, people would go to the store, try out the B100R and the BA115, say the B100R sounds awesome, and then buy the BA115 because it's cheaper. But I totally agree with you...it's a great combo.
