Ampeg 210AV users--any vibration issues?

I picked up one of these last weekend. It's a great little cab in most respects. It's really light, inexpensive, loud for its size and I really like the tone of my Mesa Walkabout with it. It sounded even better at practice tonight with my P bass and a VT pedal on the front end.

Here's the thing: The cab audibly vibrated when I hit any note on the E string or any fretted note up to the 6th fret on the A string. Granted, I couldn't hear it when we were playing rockers, but on the quiet songs it was pretty apparent.

I got it at GC straight out of the box (I watched the guy unpack it, it clearly hadn't been taken out before). They had another one on the floor, but it had been out for a good while (dust on top) and had serious vibration issues when I tried it.

Just to be clear...
*I wasn't throwing a lot of power at the cab. My Walkabout puts out 175 watts at 8 ohms, and the gain was around 11 o'clock and the master at noon.
*I wasn't pushing gobs of low end through it. The bass knob of the WA was around noon, as was the bass knob on the VT. The tone knob on the bass was typically dimed. Also, the VT settings weren't overpowering. The drive and level knobs were at 11 and noon, if that.

Has anyone else experienced this problem? I'd be quite happy if all I had to do was tighten something up on the cab, but I think I'm going to have to bring it back. Maybe my GC happened to get two lemons?

Sounds like a speaker cone is loose or something?

I have 2x SVT210AV's and both of them don't have this issue.
Low strings sound clean and tight on mine.

I did have vibration issues similar to the one you described with the BA115HPT combo amp which I have sold.

how is it vibrating? are you sticking the head on top of the cab? or is this all from the cab itself? don't know how the gain structure operates on the walkabout but i wouldn't think you'd be pushing the cab to its limit with those settings. i think something is loose, or else you're hearing a rattle from elsewhere that's doing it. first thing i'd do is pull the grillcloth and tighten up all the speaker screws, then go around it touching different stuff to see if you can make it go away. my cab doesn't rattle, either.

The Ampeg 210AV that I had for about a week showed no signs of any vibrations.
I was pushing 350 watts at 8 ohms into it from a GK MB2-500 head, sounded very good!
I'd take it back to the G.C. that you got it at.
Their usually very good about returns/problems.

It's kind of a buzzing noise. It happens once I reach a certain volume (not all that loud), whether the head is on top or not. I'm bummed out because I've tried two of these cabs and both had the same issue to varying degrees. But none of you guys have had any problem, nor has another person I've contacted. So I'll take a look inside and see if I can take care of it. Thanks.

I had issues with one buzzing but it was just the grill vibrating. I just made sure the grill was pushed in snug and it seemed to fix it.
