Ampeg 3 Pro Problem

I've been playing my Ampeg 3 Pro at low volume and noticed that the volume drops off for a couple of seconds, then returns to normal volume. When this happens, I look at the amp and the green EQ light is flickering (but the EQ is not engaged). This had only happened a couple of times in the last few days. Any thoughts.

Could be a loose solder joint somewhere in the chain. One of my 3-Pros has had the green EQ light flicker, but I never noticed a drop in sound/volume. Turned out the LED itself just needed to be reset.

Try easy fixes first...corroded effect loop cleaned with contact cleaner, corroded knob (ditto but use contact cleaner made for pots), tube. If those don't work, it might be a cold or broken solder and you'll need to take it into the shop unless you're an amp tech.

The EQ is controlled by the footswitch, so it's possible that the f/s jack is a bit dirty too...

Happened to mine in a similar way, only mine was the mute. It also prevented the mute switch on the front panel from fully muting the signal.

Here is an update on my 3 Pro:

Tested tubes ... replaced two 12 AX7s and the power switch was toast, so that was replaced as well....So far so good.
