It looks a lot like one of their old guitar cabs.

I knew they did guitar gear for a while back in the day, but I was unaware that they ever made a 4x12. Sad to hear it's a guitar cab

They've made 4X12 guitar cabs for about 40 years... This is from '73... Fortunately, it's a phenomenal bass cab as well... (The head ain't half bad neither!! )

Well I feel like an idiot lol. I honestly never knew.

Is that a V4B? I saw a guy looking to sell his on CL a while back and asked him if he would sell it, but apparently he'd only trade for an American Tele

Inspired by Geezer Butler, Ampeg released the SVT412HE bass cabinet. It was available for a short time around 2007. I'm still looking for another one. This cab crushes all.

No... Both those V4 pieces are straight up guitar gear... They just happen to be totally badass for bass as well

You are right, Sir!!

I had intended to purchase one of those, but Ampeg quit building them and you rarely see them come up for sale "used"....shame....I heard a guy play one and, you're right...mighty potent!
