Ampeg 4x12 (in the style of an 8x10)

In my quest for a 4x12 cab (and to use up a Guitar Center store credit that's been burning a hole in my pocket) I came across a Custom Ampeg 4x12 selling used at GC.com.



On the off chance that anyone has heard/played one of these, I'd appreciate any feedback you may have (seeing as it's listed as a custom piece, I'm guessing I already know the answer to this question).

looks like someone took an 810e and slapped 12's in it, and not very well, either. who knows what it would sound like, but for $560 i'd stay far far away.

Well that certainly looks interesting... its a shame Ampeg doesn't actually make one! 12" Speakers are the shizzy

Since those are about the same size as the Aguilar GS412, I'd guess the amount of air inside is the same, could load with Eminence Delta 12LFA (if I remember right and those are the reccomended replacement drivers for GS cabs) and probably bigger ports, tuned right and it should be pretty good. But that is a lot of effort for something that costs that much.
