I used the old B12 on a session this week with split signal D.I. and noticed the right side transformer was quite warm while left transformer was cool? only channel two was used..

Thoughts???
Thanks

Well, they do completely different things, so I think that's perfectly okay.

Right side transformer is the power transformer, left is output transformer...business as usual IMHO.

I'm a bit techee dumb so I do appreciate the responses.

At this studio I usually play thru a 70' B15 split w/D.I. But on this session I wanted to try my old rarely used 61' B12. the speaker WAS miked and split signal to SVTMP.

I'd also contacted a couple ampeg vintage techs and they seem to concur that power transformer heats more than input trans.

Thanks guys!!
