Ampeg aficionado, a quick question

I've been seeing some old Ampeg heads with a weird flat plastic switch for power and standby, is this normal?

If you mean like on this amp then yes. All amps from 75 on into the mod-late 80s had this style.

Yes those as well. The black paddle switches were only around in 69 as far as I know. Quickly changed (back, i suppose) over to regular round switches shortly there after.

Yes, the black plastic power and polarity switches were stock on some of the late 60's Ampegs. I have seen them mostly on the early solid state line, and my '66/'67 BT15C head has them.
