Ampeg amps comparison

I have an svt 3 pro, i was looking at the svt 7 pro. i dont know much about bass stuff im looking for a round but sharp and warm tone, other than that i just need power. so is the svt 7 pro a better option for me? should i bother in a trade or is the svt 3 pro better? the price of the svt 3 pro is $200 more than the svt 7 pro, but this may or may not be one of those situations where the more expensive one is better.
help?

I've had a 3 pro
Now own a 7 pro, wouldn't go back for anything.
The 7 FEELS like an all tube SVT- which I've also owned.
7 pro all the way imo, especially if you want more power.

I love the 7 Pro, too. The 3 Pro's a very good amp but the 7 Pro is an SMPS class D design, which hits me in a way similar to their tube amps.

Msrp on the 3 may be more, but the 7 is a better amp. I made the switch earlier this year. They could discontinue the 3 and the b series now that they have the pf and 7 amps IMO. The 4 still has some uses as it is very versatile.

I use the 7, and I have no complaints. Not sure about sharp, but it's definitely fat, round, warm, and powerful.

I hate to admit (since I thought I could get around it for years, but there is no replacement for displacement as they say). Power/headroom can do wonders...
