Ampeg or Ashdown...whatcha think??

Okay y'all. I am currently paying through an Ashdown 250 watt head, a Fender 4x10 and a 1x15 cab. Thinking of getting an older Ampeg B2 head (not a b2 r or re). Thoughts?? Ashdown or Ampeg??

Actually, i guess it is a B2 R, as it is rack mounted.

Definately Ampeg, I don't like the Ashdown amps they sound over compressed. I've been playing Ampegs for 16+ years!

I play an ABM C410T-500 EVO II combo, and I love the way it sounds. I greatly dislike the MAG stuff, though.

That said, I'm about to buy an Ampeg SVT-CL, just because I like them too.

Have you played the Ampeg? Are you going to play it through the same cab?

Have not tried it yet, thought I have played through one before. Yes, same cabs.

in the price range of the B2 Id say go ampeg cos Im not a fan of the lesser ashdowns.. but if youve got $500ish to spend pick up an ABM 500 and rejoice!!!
