Are these any good? Also will this power an Ampeg SVT-410HLF with reasonable success?

Yes they are good and no, it will not.

To be more specific, the transformer on the B25 is tapped for 16 ohm or 8 ohms with an extension. The 410HLF is 4 ohms.

you want an inexpensive ampeg tuber that'll do 4 ohms, get a v4b. b25 is fantastic, but you can only do 16 or 8 ohms, and you have to either have two 16 ohm cabs or trick it into believing there's a 16 ohm cab in the first tap to run it at 8.

which is as easy as sticking a dummy plug into one of the speaker jacks... i have the B25B, and while it isnt exactly over-powered, i find that it can supply surprising volume thorough the right cab, especially if you can live with some hair on your sound (i definitely *can*!).

V4B is at least as sweet, and wins the headroom battle pretty easily (and being 4 ohm capable doesnt hurt). not a huge difference in overall output (or tone, IMO) though, all things considered.

at any rate, i am not sure the 410HLF is the right cab for either of them, impedance mismatch notwithstanding... of course, that is always a personal opinion kind of thing...

I like my V4.

2/4/8 ohms is definitely nice.
