Calling JimmyM!
I found one of these and it seems to be in decent condition and probably an early 70s model. Any idea what it's worth?
Thanks!

I've seen that rig go for between $300 and $650. The devil's in the details...

Cab value determined by condition, missing or modified parts - handles, grill cloth, wheels, cart - and the biggie - Altec 421A speakers - or standard (probably eminence or CTS.)

Even if the speakers are fried, thats a good deal.
And you'll know they work if they put out sound.

If you push on the speakers and they rub then you may have bad voice coils (I believe?). The important thing about the B25s is that they use a 16 ohm output, and the cab will have a 16-4 ohm switch (series/parallel) to match. If it's really old it may need some work or new tubes, but for that head a cap job shouldn't be more than $100 and the tubes are all readily available so you wouldn't have to shell out for NOS tubes. |

EDIT: By the way, checked the serial numbers, head and cab were made in Linden, NJ in 1969.

I always try the latest and greatest SS head and always come back to my trusty B25B. So I have decided to stop looking at other girls and be happy with my wife
