| It really depends on the rest of the band, especially the drummer. My hard-rock band is pretty dang loud, and generally in 300 capacity clubs, no it isn't loud enough even as a stage monitor...talk about tube overdrive...it's screaming even with PA support! But if we're playing a small bar (no more than 100 capacity), then yes it will work fine but I always have to use the matching extension cabinet.
A couple other bands I played with alot, the guitarists use like 1x12 and 2x12 combo amps doing Tom Petty-ish type stuff, and it can easily keep up with that and no PA support. And it's more than overkill in a blues band setting.
But it's a freakin' awesome recording amp! |
