I was at a local music store and came across a 70's era b25b head and 2x15 cabinet and could not pass it up. The head sounds amazing, best sounding amp I have played, lot brighter then my svt cl. The head is really clean and just need to get one new knob, since one is a different style then the others. The cabinet is in the shop getting some much needed love, new speakers and cabinet grill. I can't wait to play this head thru the 2x15 cabinet when finished. I now understand when everyone says the vintage stuff sounds better then the new stuff sometimes because it’s true. I will post some pictures when the cabinet is finished, hopefully in a couple weeks.

My b25-b 2x15 is THEE best cabinet i have ever owned.

It's stupid heavy, and it's REALLY narrow (which gets wobble and freaks me out)... but it's just... so... GOOD!

I've been using a late 60's Kustom200 through it for almost a decade... but last week i picked up an early 70's Traynor YBA-3... i agree 100%... old stuff sounds better

My cab still has the original 15's... i've been so scared about them breaking because i LOVE the sound so much... what 15's did you replace them with? I'd like to know what my options are for that inevitable and sad day when i NEED to replace them.


I haven't gotten the chance to play the matching head, i'm sure it'll sound amazing!! The closest i got was playing an old VB4 through it!! Soooo goooood...
