Ampeg B4R No Output Signal

Sign in to disble this ad
At first both a and b channels worked with some crackling sound through the speakers. then b dropped out completly and then A completly. I found a bad output relay that was arch welded closed, so I replaced it, and now both relays pull in when the amp starts, but there is no guitar signal coming out. Just a little crackle and hum out of the speakers, but not very loud at all. voltages across the power transistors are +64 and -67 i think. Not sure what is blocking my signal from input to output. Any suggestions??

Just the old standby suggestion - plug a cable between the FX loop input and output jacks. If you get sound, you probably just need to clean the jacks.
