Ampeg BA 115 buzz and picking up radio...

Sign in to disble this ad
I know the Ampeg BA 115 has a kind of buzz/noise problem, but i was so in love with the tone i bought it anyway.

When it arived from the store there was a quiet low buzz in the amp when turned on.
I didn't really mind the buzz because turning up the volume wouldn't increase the buzz volume, and only the treble above 70% would seme to affect the buzzing.

After playing on the amp for 1 month (being totally happy with it) i turned it on last night and it seemed the buzz was ALOT louder this time (about 250% louder than last time).
So i checked my cable (a fender vintage voltage) and plugs.. no effect.
I tried turning the amp off and on again, still buzzing loudly.

I also noticed there was a radio transmission coming from the amp that got louder if i turned up the treble, so i turned it off and move the amp to the next room.
Turned it on and still buzzing loudly and transmitting radio signals (even with guitar cable disconnected).

Should I return the amp while I still have warranty?
I really love the amp except for the buzzing
