Any one know why the Ampeg BA112 does not have a effects loop and the BA110, BA108, And the BA115 do? |

The 10 and 08 models just came out this year, so they're "new" models, with their own feature set. To me, it makes no sense to need an effects loop in a bedroom practice combo anyway.

BTW, 3 gigs I've done with that little BA108, and it kills! Ya, it's just a practice amp, but it's a solid one.

As many on here have seen me write every thing is done with less than 50 watts!
Just thought it would have been a nice option! |

Just curious, what gig do you use the BA108 for? I am certain, if I needed to, I could gig it.

I just need to get a little louder than the upright can do on its own.

That said, I like the old BA112 a lot. I think it's a very nice amp, but one that was originally pretty overpriced compared to the BA115, which was a whole lot more amp, so the BA112 was never that popular. A few years ago, they lowered the MSRP a bit.
I picked up a brand new Yellville-built one for $158 at a GC sale some years ago and thought it was a great catch.

Had to do that...I had to fly right out of that gig and to my 50's-60's gig an hour and a half away and had no time to untape it. Wish I'd have noticed that before I took the pic, though.

And the ones that are musicians are seem to be more focused on what the player is playing (hand movement, tecnique, tone, etc.). |
