Ampeg BA115HP

Hey Guys I have a question,

I decided to modify my ampeg BA115HP and I blew a fuse in the process. Basically what I did was put a switch and a speakon connector into the back of the bass cabinet and the switch is used so I can switch between the built in amp on the ampeg and the external amp which is a gallien krueger. I think The switch could have shorted out something in the ampeg amp because when I turned the switch on I could barely hear a little sound from coming from the cab while using the ampeg amp. I tried a new fuse but it just blew again, then I took the amp out of the ampeg put a fuse in it then turned it on without it connected to the speaker at all and it blew again, So as of now I am lost if anyone can help that would be great, Thanks.

Sounds like the output was shorted by your mod. Now the output devices have blown due to overheating. Sorry, time to repair or trash.

+1 you need an amp tech, and probably did from the start.

I think its the the transistors, what would the voltage need to be on them for them to work properly, I have a meter so its pretty easy to test them
