hi does anyone know much about the Ampeg BA300-115? I currently have an ashdown mag300 with an ampeg 400w cab but this combination wont cut through valume wise due to the ashdown. When turned up it distorts and has had to be repaired twice in less than nine months as a result of it not being able to cope with higher volumes.
So i need a new amp which can cope with a higher volume and apparently valve amps are way better at this, so ive been looking at this ampeg. i need something preferably within the £600/$917 bracket. anyone know if this will cope with volume?
It's still a single 15" spkr, either way. If it's more volume you're after, it's more speakers you'll need. Amp wattage is only one factor, speaker cabs with multiple drivers are much more important.
