Ampeg BA300 2x10 I couldn't pass up

I've been watching the used equipment listings at my local GC and came across an Ampeg BA300 2x10 for $239.00!
So I called the store and asked a guy what kind of shape it was in, had it been road hard and put away wet, or what? He said he would take a look at it and call me back, but after an hour passed I couldn't stand it, and drove up to the store.
There it was with only a few minor scratches looking so much like the brand new one across the room, it would have been hard to tell them apart.
I flagged someone down got it hooked up, it sounded fine, no rattles or buzzes and all the settings worked fine. The only thing I neglected to check out was the -12db input and the line out .
I took another look at the new one across the room with a $749.00 tag on it and plugged into it, I couldn't see or hear any difference, let alone $500.00 worth.
I tracked down the salesman again and told him let's do this before I change my mind. The $10 dollar coupon GC sent me in the mail brought it down to $229.99 I don't usually buy extended warranties, but thought the 30 day might not be enough this time.
Excuse me I have to go make some noise now

i'd have passed on the ext warranty (they're all just legalized gambling), but that is a very good score. have fun with it!

OK, I had to take the BA300 2x10 back today, it began making noise and cutting out after getting thoroughly warmed up
I was afraid $750 amp for $239 was too good to be true,,,,,,, and it was.

They gave me a full refund and I tried a few other amps before deciding on a replacement. I wanted to stay under $300 because the defective Ampeg was, but nothing in that price range had enough backbone, so I went the next size up. The Acoustic B100 was close, but not quite. My days of competing for airspace with a drummer aren't quite over since my girlfriend took up drums, so I wanted an amp that didn't have to work at it.

The Fender Rumble 150 seemed weak and the grill rattled. I thought it would sound much better than it did, but it was disappointing at best.
(The Acoustic B100 actually sounded bigger and better.)

The Acoustic B200 was next and made minced meat of the Fender Rumble. With a 6 band EQ and frequency notch I could get a nice variety of tones from it. The B200 came home with me and I'm really liking it.
