My dad wants me to get rid of this 60's Ampeg 2x15 cabinet, but I'm not sure what model it is. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

That looks very much like the Oliver bass amp with the head that elevates out of the cabinet with a motor. I think it is a 2-15 fliptop amp, at least that is what it looks like.

I know my dad said he bought it in the 60's. I was digging around the net and found a guy that has a cab that looks just like this. He says it is a 1967 B-15NC. I have no Idea... I play guitar.

When my dad bought it he said it had a bass head that clipped on. There are metal hinge clips on either side. unfortunately the head was stolen back in the 70's.

it's a 215 for one of the late 60's portaflexes. not totally sure which one but i think it was for a bt-15c, which was a solid state version of the b-15. looks like a great cab. too bad there's no longer a head for it.

no idea of price but i'm sure there will be interest somewhere. someone's got an orphaned head they'll want to pair up with it, i'm sure.

Don't forget to add "rare" and "legendary", while you're at it.

Do you happen to be a supporting member? Otherwise, this thread is against TB rules.

That's it. mid-67 though 68 were the only years that cloth/metal pipping was used. The NC stood for column - as in 2x15, as opposed to the earlier NC which referred to the circuit revision. The circuit revision (on the schematic) for that head should be NF I believe.

Forgot about the BT-15s. Leave it to Jimmy to know everything
