Any other cool ideas?
Cut off the unused section with a chainsaw -- on a gig. Be sure the soundman mikes the chainsaw. Put a video of this on YouTube. Profit!

I saw Norma Jean a while back (After the Burial opened, really awesome show) but they were running a whole like wall of lights in what appeared to be shells of 4x10 and 8x10 cabs. It was a really cool effect, a lot of ****in lumens. I'd swap the top speakers to the bottom, (or just turn it upside down!?!??!) and put skulls in there, and light the skulls with strobes.

For some reason the guitarist in my band has some human sized doll heads with LEDs in their eyeballs. Those would be cool in the holes!

I would tune that cab to optimize the tone.

As you have it, you are cutting your low end.
If you want the most low end, remove the top two speakers and put them in the bottom chamber.
If you want less mids, remove a couple from the middle.

The top two upper right speakers look as if they have been replaced .I would just dime that MXR distortion pedal and doom those Gerbals until the Hamsters kick their lilly ass and you blow all the speakers and then write in wondering what to do next.

If you're going to torture small animals, go all the way and put baby harp seals in there.

On second thought, any of the band members have ex-wives?

Move the empty spots to the top and put a couple of these in the holes:

After all it is the Ampeg "FRIDGE"

Fan

Empty hole could be filled with a fan, but a higher position may be more beneficial... not too high to go into vocal mic. May take some research and engineering to find the perfect fan that will fit, mount easily, and look cool. Route AC cable through unused speaker hole instead of drilling other holes.

Pull and save the filler material and do something with the interior of the compartment (paint it, line with foil, etc). Can be used as a storage area for cables, pedals, etc. Be sure to remove these items before turning on the fan!

A couple of flat screen TV's might look cool if you had the $$$ to invest; one could display the band name, psychedelic light show, aquarium video, porn/art film project, etc. Cables for AC power/video feed would require installing proper connectors on some exterior surface.
