All the Pro Series Ampeg heads are good, but there also all a bit different. I've not played with the new 7Pro, but I do love the tone of both the 3Pro and 6Pro. The 4Pro is most popular, and also the biggest. Use your ears to decide.

If you want a more "classic" sound and can afford one, I'd say the SVT-CL or SVT-VR, aside from that, I'd say the 3-Pro (I have one and love it). It's versatile as hell once you get the tone figured out and endlessly tweakable, I just prefer the warmth of the CL and the VR. If you need some more "oomph", the 4-Pro has similar tone and customizability with more power. Although the 3-Pro has plenty, and any larger club worth playing is going to mic/DI you through the PA anyways.

in order of (my) preference:

vr
cl
micro vr (dion't laugh...it's not high power but it's got tone for days)
4 pro
3 pro

i have not played the 7 pro yet, though, but i've heard it sounds great as well.

some like the b2re/450h (same head, different packaging), but i am not a fan.

biamping two micro vr heads (one dirty one clean) through 2 efficient 4 ohm 4x10s would be epic, imo.
