Ampeg Heritage 410HLF or (2) Ampeg PF210s?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello,
Im thinkin bout gettin a 4x10. I was thinkin 2 PF210s (or maybe a 210 & a 115) but I saw a Heritage 410HLF and I love the look. I have a Sadowsky UV70 (w/flats) and an Ashdown ABM500 EVOII head. I played my stuff through the PFs and a Classic 410HLF and liked them both alot. What do u guys think Ampeg or something else 410. Im on a buget and cant afford a Berg 410 or anything like that. I actually have a 800.00 credit @ MF.
Thanx,
Mark

Go back in and test the PF210 and see if you like it compared to the 410HLF. The 410 is pretty large to haul up and downs stairs often, if that's an issue. I would always pick 2 2x10s over 1 4x10 because of the modularity, and the abiltiy to do a vertical stack.

The 410HLF has such low low end response that there's no way a sealed 210 like the PF210 can compete with it. Now whether those low lows are important to you or not, I can't answer, but if they are, then the 410HLF is about your only choice.

And agreed about the look of the Heritage cabs. That grillcloth is hot!

I have two of the pf115s on order. I will be curious how low they feel myself. But I doubt they'll lay a finger on an HLF...
