Ampeg Heritage SVT CL- Back panel

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi Guys;

on the back panel of the Ampeg Heritage SVT-CL there are three outputs that I would like to know what the difference is:

one is marked "SLAVE OUT"
another is marked "PREAMP OUT"
and the third is marked "TRANSFORMER BAL. (Balanced) OUT"

what the heck is the difference in the three, and what would be the difference in the signal sent by the three to an external amp etc.?

just curious because I am putting together a rig for my son, and this is one of the amps I am looking at.

thanks.

/s/ Dave

Slave out: You can "slave" another amplifier to this one. Let's call the first one Amplifier A, and the second one Amplifier B. A is connected to a cab, and B is connected to another cab. Using the slave out from A, you can then control amps A and B at the same time from the controls of A.

Preamp out: This takes the signal from the preamp. It can be sent to a power amp, etc.

The other one is, I think, supposed to be sent to a mixing board.
