Ampeg Micro VR with 2 AV210 cabs vs. 1 cab on a stand

Quick question for those that have used this.

What are the benefits to the sound of this setup over just elevating the AV210 on some sort of stand?

Is there a noticeable volume increase?

I am running a lower stage volume with a digital kit and I just wanted to be able to hear myself a touch better. So bass response etc is null to me since we are running through a decent PA.

Ampeg support says the cab "blooms" at about 10 feet so I was actually thinking of using my cab as some sort of side fill on a milk crate or similar sized case.

I don't need a volume increase per se but I do need to be able to hear myself.

I've been practicing and gigging mine with a new band recently. The first practice I brought just the one cabinet and had it up high. The second I brought the full stack. This is in small room with one guitarist and a regular drum kit. With one cab I had no problem hearing myself, but the other guys had trouble hearing me, but no problems at all with the full stack. If the other guys are hearing you through the monitors and not relying on your amp, you should be okay with the one cab.

I've only gigged with the full stack so far.

Ok cool. Yeah they will need to hear me on stage and I got a Music123 price match for a AV210 238 with free shipping. Probably going to pick it up. Anyone else?

I went ahead and ordered the cab. I guess I can abuse the return policy if I hate it lol.
