Ampeg micro VR aux in issue

Tried searching for everything is too vgue. So i recently picked up a used vr stack. Love the tone, wish it was a but more powerful but I have a question.
I tried hooking mu iPhone to the aux in and no sound comes out.
If I plug in headphones I can hear it clearly through the headphones and it slightly comes out the speakers but at very very low volume. Is this normal? Is it only meant to be used through your headphones? Or is this an issue with the head? Thank you in advance.

No issue there, it's working as designed. Audio in only comes out the headphone jack not the speaker.

I see. I guess that makes sense. I love the tone the little puts out. Reminds me of my old br200

Yep, Aux in comes out on headphones only..

I thought mine was broken(took me a month) and got it on a repair center and when I got it back. I plugged in the headphones and played the ipod on aux. I had the "AHA!" moment and think I was stupid.. lol

Same thing happened to me last week...plugged my MP3 player into the aux expecting to hear the song through the speaker cabinet but nothing..unplugged the cab from the head and plugged in my headphones and....voila!
