Ampeg Micro-VR Cab Question

Sign in to disble this ad
Is there a bottom and top cab or something for the ampeg micro-vr? Cause the head does not fit in the hole pegs of the cab that I have. And if I order another wanted to make sure to get the one that does if it exists. Thanks!

There is only one cab... not a "bottom" or "top" cab.

I have the Micro VR and a 210AV and the feet of the head fits the cab's feet cups perfectly.

Strange; I am going to take another look when I get home. I came across one other thread with a similar issue but wanted to get some more feedback. Thanks!

Mine were off too. I heard Ampeg will fix it if you have your receipt.

Quite a while ago there was another user that posted the same issue. If I remember correctly, when I was having my Micro VR warranty replaced, I brought it up to the ampeg support guy on the phone. I vaguely remember him saying they were aware of the problem.

Give Ampeg a call and see what they say, it couldn't hurt.

Edit: there he is right above me, sockmonkey. I don't think you'd need the receipt tho.

I ended up going back to gc and switching heads it fits fine now. Picked up another cab for it and returned the svt-cl and 4x10 hlf. This thing is awesome!

That's awesome that GC replaced it. I couldn't afford to send mine away I play it too much, so I reset them my self.

Ok it appears that it is the 2x10 cab that has the mismatched holes not the head. I figured this out after I got home.

So the new cab works fine with the head and I just place the other old cab under.

When you stack the cabs the cab feet are not supposed to be able to go into the holes correct? Just the head right?

You should be able to just move the feet on the head to match the cab...
