Ampeg Micro VR Question

Can I just use the head for headphone practice (in other words, disconnect the cab) Or is that bad. I saw an earlier comment that suggested it wasn't good for the head not to have a speaker load.

Since its solid state it shouldn't hurt the amp.

I would also guess that the headphone jack will bypass the speaker outputs from the head when engaged.

Amps with power tubes need a load (cabinet) to prevent damage. Your amp is solid state which does not need a cabinet connected.

i believe use of the headphone jack bypasses all the other outputs on the amp.
