That may have been the best post I've seen a while on TB! I'd be interested to hear any leaks the Ampeg endorsers would be willing to share

If they bust out a surprise 100 watt tube amp with a vintage vibe (basically a newer V4B that looks like an old V4B ala SVT-VR to blueline SVT) then we'll have some exciting head to head action to look at when it comes to Fender vs Ampeg. The market is there Ampeg I promise! I love my vintage v4b and its natural drive! So do many others who don't need insane volume.

I'm sure the Ampeg endorsees are eager to spill the beans and leak new products to destroy the carefully orchestrated marketing campaign and the company will happily ship them more amps in future.

They have been pandering their guitar line pretty darn hard. Almost MORE than the bass stuff if you see their Facebook page. Since the PF500 and Micro VR are doing so well from a business standpoint it doesn't make a ton of sense to release a bunch of new stuff and a kill a good thing going.

I bet a pedal/interface and maybe a guitar/bass gets introduced as well as some other guitar amps. Just a gut feeling.

I don't know if they tell Bootsy and Roger Waters, but they certainly don't tell me! The only thing I know for sure is that they're making more Heritage B-15's, and it'll be available for the first time in Europe. I've heard secondhand rumors from other people, but nothing confirmed by the folks at Ampeg. And that's honest, though even if I knew I couldn't tell you. Yeah, I'll blow my discount because of you people...RIIIIIIIIIGHT!

Now that I thought about it you might see a PF410HE. That makes sense.

Yeah, Ampeg leaked a bunch of stuff last year. My guess is either they don't have much to announce or they have something really big to announce and they want to shock and awe us.

I still think a head to compete with the little bastard would make sense. It could be made over seas. So you would have your heratage series b15. And then you would have your pf series with a tube head. It could even be based on the b25 wich was based on the b15 anyway. Then you would have 55 watts of Ampeg goo!

If they do a 100w imported head, I can almost guarantee I will have one of the first ones. Pretty good odds it won't be called the JimmyM. I haven't even gotten a call from Will Lee's wife to book my photo session. I'd certainly have gotten that call by now

Well they cant do your photo shoot with your cabs till they release them. They know you love us to much not to share it with us!

I can see it now Jimmy finshes his show friday night and a helicopter shows up to get him. Jimmy is surprised knowing nothing about it! They take his cell phone an blind fold him. They rush him off to NAMM where the next day they photo shoot him and the gear and release it at NAMM sturday night!

That would suck. I'm booked that night with my band. Pretty good paying gig, too.

I have to agree, I'd also be interested in seeing a more widely made version of a B-15, of course, this is wishful thinking. I highly doubt I'd be able to compete with 2 guitarists, one of them having a 212 35 watt tube combo and the other one with a 100-watt tube halfstack with 25 tube watts and a 115. I do really like their PF cabinets as well as their class D heads.

I've been hoping a bit that Ampeg might consider offering a 2x12 cabinet in the Portaflex series. That, and a more affordable version of the B-15 might be a nice offering.
