Ampeg Neo Series

Sign in to disble this ad
I saw an ad for these the other day but didn't have a chance to read about them. What's the deal with this line? I assume they are new to Ampeg. Anyone tried them? Thoughts? Just wondering.......

Wow, not much input on this. I thought it looked kind of cool.

Whats da point?

I thought neo cabs were supposed to be light?
I play 15s and their neo 15 is 10 lbs lighter than my classic 15s.
Must be sound or MARKETING.

The older Neo series in the Porta-Bass stuff WAS way light.

Some of them were also way inefficient, but that wasn't the neo specifically, it was a design decision (a stupid one, I think).

I really like my PB 112, and great for the small venue gigs I play. Portability and weight are my best friend, also building a Fearful 12/6 cabinet for larger gigs.
