Hey everyone.
Has anyone had the chance to play thru the PN410HLF? How would you compare it to the SVT410HLF???
I am a former SVT 410HLF owner and absolutely LOVED the cab.... My back didn't so much. I sold all my Ampeg stuff and made the switch to MarkBass. I thoroughly enjoy the MB sound (CMD102 &151p), its seriously light too, which was a big reason for the switch.....
I have since purchased an SVT 7 pro as a back up head and started getting an itch to get another 4x10 and set up the Ampeg as a regular gigging rig.
I'm curious to hear if anyone owns and/or uses the cab and how they would compare it to other quality cabs, such as the SVT. Does it produce the same LOW/warm punch of the SVT?? Its certainly not cheap ($1,099) and is an 8ohm cab.. plus its about 60/lbs, a lot less than the SVT.
Thanks!!

Compared to the SVT-410HLF, the Pro Neo is more refined, has more clarity/separation down low, more high end content. The SVT-410HLF is more big, warm and round, and less articulate.
Hope this helps. |

Yes
Well, kinda. The Pro Neo goes plenty deep and handles the low notes quite well. But that SVT-410HLF is just huge down low, and the Pro Neo is not as big and burly. In no way would I call the Pro Neo "lacking" in the low end department, though. |

Anyway, it worked, but, I didn't get a chance to take it through a real test w/ my SVT 7.
I really love my Markbass set up, but, am looking forward to have an Ampeg rig in my corner again
