IMHO I think there are better pairings for either piece of that set up. That said the best way to tell is for you to try it out and listen for yourself.

Should be killer. The amp is great, the cab is thunderous. They wont look good together for sure, but they WILL sound amazing.

I was told the V4B was too underpowered. That's what the numbers will say but I too think it will sound great underpowered or not. Maybe I will put a black grill on the head for the look.

What do you mean by "underpowered"?

100W tube watts for bass might be not enough if you want REALLY loud AND clean sound. But if you want some grind it's actually way better amp than SVT-CL, because 300W is too loud when you push it really hard.

The cab is efficient enough to give you loud and punchy sound in almost any situation.

A friend of mine said the V4B doesn't have enough watts to properly drive a PR410HLF thats all. I think it will be just fine, I ran that same V4B with my 8x10 for 20 years and loved it, underpowered or not. Had a tech go through the head completely. It's a '71 0r '72 that is like new now.

Your friend is only half right. The underpowering thing is a total joke, but the PR410HLF does have extremely low low end response, and cabs with big lows always use more wattage than a cab with less on the bottom such as a 410he. So it might not be earsplitting enough for you. But it will work just fine. If underpowering was true, then I'd blow my B-15 cabs because the head is 25w and the speakers can take 400w each before they blow.

My band just plays bars and small venues. It'll work great. Confidence level is high!!
