Ampeg SVT-2 Pro vs. Ampeg Heritage SVT: Experiences with these Two (or either one)?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi.

I'm mulling over and taking some time to decide what Ampeg head to buy. Right now I have a bit of a woody for the Ampeg SVT-2 Pro and Ampeg Heritage SVT-CL.

But I'd like to hear what you folks may have experienced with these amps, as far as quality of build, design, reliability, durability...etc.

So right now it's between the Ampeg Heritage SVT-CL and Ampeg SVT-2 Pro. Ultimately, there's not really that much of a difference in price. They're relatively close.

I hear the Ampeg SVT-2 Pro is made in Vietnam.

Ampeg Heritage SVT-CL supposedly hand built in the good 'ole USA.

Don't know if that means the SVT-2 Pro will be lesser quality, or poorly built/poorer parts.

What have you guys/gals experienced with these amps. Either one.

i don't know about totally handbuilt because it uses pc boards, but it is "designed and assembled in the usa." either are great amps, but i'd rather have the heritage because it looks way cooler.
