Ampeg SVT-2 Pro XLR Out Question

Sign in to disble this ad
So i got a really good deal on an Ampeg SVT-2 Pro yesterday. I was wondering if when you had the amp matched correctly with the cab, could you plug the xlr out into an interface, if you needed to demo a part really quickly and didn't have any mics, and turn the master all the way down to zero and adjusting the xlr output so it's silent through the cab but you can hear it through the recording monitors?

TL;DR can you silently record with an svt2 pro

Yep. Just keep that cab hooked up so you don't burn up a transformer.
