Ampeg SVT 200T pots

Recently I purchased an old Ampeg SVT 200T. It sounds great and I love it, only problem is that the thing is pretty haggard aesthetically. The tolex is torn and on some panels completely missing, the front grille cloth is trashed, all the knobs are missing, and most annoyingly the stage volume pot has been snapped off.

Does anyone know where I might locate a suitable replacement? Its a 10k log taper push/pull pot. Pressed into the back of the pot is "70-103-28 137/8741 ROC". Ive been able to source all the other parts I need to restore this amp except that one pot.

Seems someone else had a similar problem about 6 years ago (opinions on Ampeg SVT 400T) and talkbass user "Jerrold Tiers" seemed to know a bit about these pots.

Check with LS Electronics about that pot...... they are on the 'net.

They are good quality ex-Ampeg folks, and bought a LOT of "excess" parts from Loud.

The pot is a special, and won't be easy to find elsewhere........

They carry tons of ampeg replacement parts and might have them...

Thanks for the suggestion garmenteros, I am already ordering a whole bunch of stuff from fliptops, unfortunately they don't have that type of pot though.

Many thanks Jerrold, LS electronics has ONE of the pots available and brand new, I doubt I would have ever found one if they had been out of stock.

I am refurbishing my AMpeg 200T on fliptops as well. I need new knobs. Can someone tell me whether the knobs are d-shaft, knurled shaft, or mini d-shaft? Can someone also tell me whether I can custom install ampeg side handles on the unit. It originally doesnt come with it but I want to add them on, I just dont know whether there is room on the side of the chassis.
