Ampeg SVT-212E ?

Sign in to disble this ad
I found a deal on an Ampeg SVT-212E, I know it only rated for 200 watts @ 8ohms . Just wonder what your opinions would be about this cab ? I can buy it for $100. I don't have an amp head yet and I'm not sure if I should buy or pass.

Currently using Hartke A70 combo.

SVT or SVR?

There was an SVR that had a rear firing driver and 3 space rack above - is that what you're talking about?

$100 for any Ampeg cabinet is a great deal depending on condition.

A hundred bucks? Grab it. You can always get your money back if it doesn't work out.

I'd grab it if I were you. If you don't like it, you'll be able to get back what you paid for it, and probably more.

Nice. The reason I asked was that there is an SVR on eBay right now and they're asking $299.

For $100, get it!

These were only made from 1990-1994 or so. Two front-firing 12s. That's why there's next to no data on them. I've seen several around lately, must be the season. Just because they weren't big hits doesn't mean they don't sound good.

Moot. Ampeg is very conservative with their driver power ratings. I've seen 100 watt Ampeg drivers that will go louder without farting out than most 250w drivers.
