Ampeg svt 3 pro di help needed

I used the di out of the svt to patch into the mixer. Sound was great but no sound came out of my cab. How do I set it to use as a monitor for myself?

Connecting the DI out on the 3-Pro to the mixer should not disengage the speaker. Was the amp working fine before you connected the DI?

Were you connecting a microphone cable to your amps "Transformer Balanced Line Out" jack?

Mic cable fine......... something is screwy, I don't quite see how that can happen.........

Were there ANY other connections except the mic cable, speaker and bass?

Yeah mic cable was correct, that shouldn't mute the speaker unless there's some bizarre malfunction in the amp.

Assuming you didnt have anything patched into your amps fx-loop at that gig, I'm thinking the switching contacts in your fx return jack are dirty and lost connection. This would explain no sound from the speaker with the amps DI still working fine. An easy way to diagnose this is to patch a guitar cord between your amps send and return jacks. If this suddenly restores sound you could simply leave the patch cord in place or clean your amps return jack with Deoxit.
