Ampeg SVT-3 pro jack

Sign in to disble this ad
I have an SVT-3 pro that's been intermittently cutting out and jiggling the jack can sort of fix it. I think the jack is bad and needs to be replaced. I can't find a part list anywhere online to order a new one. Anyone know where I might find a list to order that part? I could take it in, but have buddy who can fix it if we can find the part.

Thanks!

First have your buddy take a look and see if the solder isn't just cracked and making bad, intermittent connection. Cheap, easy fix, that can make it as good as new.

If it's an older one, pre-Loud, it has probably got pretty good jacks. We spent extra to get good versions of that style jack. Purchasing complained all the time, but the owner (Gene Kornblum) told them to buy what we specified.

I have no idea where the jacks for post-SLM units come from, probably the lowest bidder (BAD attitude ).

I just had a 5x frequency selector switch go bad on my 3Pro. I called the service number on Ampeg's site, and someone helped me find the part I needed and place the order.

+1 My SVT-3 PRO had a similar symptom and the problem was solder
joints where the jack meets the circuit board.
