Ampeg SVT-3pro question

Sign in to disble this ad
Can you run an Ampeg SVT-3pro without a speaker hooked up to it? I was thinking of using as a preamp for recording, without having a live cabinet for at home. Not good idea, OK to do...?

Solid state power section means it's OK to run without a speaker. In fact, when you bias the mosfets you need to disconnect the speaker.
